Band Baaja Baaraat is a Hindi feature film produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films and its producer is Aditya Chopra. The film is written and directed by Manish Sharma.

Cast and Crew: Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Manmeet Singh are the main casts of the film. Amitabh Bhatta rcharya is the lyricist whereas Salim-Sulemaan are the music directors.

Story: Shruti (Anushka Sharma) is about to finish her education from Ramjas College of Delhi University. Before completing her studies she has decided her career. She has planned to get into the business of wedding planner. She wants to reach on the top of this business through her own efforts. On the other hand, Bittu Sharma (Ranveer Singh) is a friend of Shruti who to is about to finish his education from Hanshraj College of Delhi University. Though Shruti has decided her career; Bittu doesn't have time to think about his career. However, he doesn't want to go to village after completion of his studies and get into his father's business of sugarcane. Hence he becomes a partner in Shruti's business. But on the very outset they decide that they would never fall in love with each other if they were in any business together because this was the rule of business.

Thereafter they start arranging marriage of middle class families and gradually they start arranging marriage of rich families.

But a time comes when they open separate companies: Bittu runs his company in the name of 'Happy Marriage' and Shruti runs in another name.

What made them to get separated? Do they fall in love and break the rule of Business? The answers of these questions make the rest of the film.

These days some films are being made which are either different from regular cinema or which are for youngsters.  This film is one of them. The director of this film Manish Sharma had been associated with Aditya Chopra as assistant directors in some of Aditya's film so Aditya trusted his caliber and gave an opportunity to direct a film like this.

Since Manish Sharma is associated with Delhi University his story revolves mostly around Delhi University. He has shot on some locations which remained untouched by the other film makers. The beauty of Delhi is very beautifully shot and presented in the film for which the cinematographer needs to be appreciated.

But the audience can anticipate the climax of the film on the very outset of the film which can be said to be a weak point of the film.

The director has chosen a subject which not only fits for people of metro but which also fits for people of small town where youth culture has started  developing.

Performance: This is Ranveer's first fillm yet he doesn't disappoint you as a new comer. He has acted fairly well and will improve in future.

Anushka Sharma has done better than her previous films. This is her 3rd film with Yash Raj Films.

This pair looks good and you will get to see this pair from the beginning to the end of the film, on screen.

The director has done a good job and the film is not bad. This is a light film (no brutality; no vulgarity) but there is a kissing scene which family may not like it. Otherwise the film can be watched by the family. The kissing scene could have been avoided so that it could not prevent families to watch the film. Instead of attracting business it may prove negative for the film's business.

Music of the film is okay and some of its songs like 'Dum-Dum' 'Adha Ishq' have become popular too.

It is not a must watch film but if you watch it you will not feel disappointed. You can go for it.
