Rating: 3.5/5

One Line Review: This movie deserves a watch for its technical efforts.

Positive Points: Adrenaline pumping high octane action sequences emblazoned by grand visually appealing international locations is your meal for the money.

Negative Point: In the second half of the film, the pace starts diminishing but soon gets compensated with breath-taking action.

Plot: The film opens with Omar Zafar (played by Danny Denzongpa) locked up in London's special detention zone. After a fuming confrontation with Deputy Police Officer Viren Nanda (played by Jimmy Shergill), Omar Zaraf and his goons kills Viren and easily escapes from the zone. Rajveer Nanda (played by Hrithik Roshan) executes a diamond heist confederated by Hamid Gul (played by Javed Jaffrey). But he contravenes the prerequisite of accepting the fee for the robbery committed and irresolute to exchange the diamond called Kohinoor. He eventually meets Harleen Sahni (played by Katrina Kaif), who is a receptionist working in the Bank of Shimla who is busy awaiting her first internet love at a restaurant. Harleen is brought up by her grandmother after her parents' demise. She is a smart and whimsical girl who always gets carried away by her grandmother's loves story tales. On the date event, Harleen misconceives Rajveer to be Vicky and approaches Rajveer which leaves him flabbergasted by her beauty and he reciprocates to her cute salutation. Harleen blindly falls for Rajveer and gets carried away by his charm. But she discovers Rajveer's intensions but before she can step back, she falls prey to his subterfuge. They both join hands on a mission to protect the historically significant Kohinoor diamond from Hamid Gul's garrison who is Omar Zafar (Danny Denzongpa)'s partner in crime. But will Harleen and Rajeev be able to successfully protect the diamond formulates the rest of the story.

Direction and other techniques: Director Siddharth Raj Anand fairly manages to grab one more feather to his filmographic portfolio and this one tops it. Cinematography by Vikas Sivaraman and Sunil Patel is good especially during the explosion scenes and the night car chase scenes. Ahmed Khan has well managed to choreograph the dance sequences in the movie and Hrithik's dance is like the waves of the sea. His ode to Micheal Jackson reflects in his moves. Abbas Tyrewala's dialogues are simple but are extremely hilarious during certain points. Writer duo Sujoy Ghosh and Suresh Nair has not slated a miraculous story by any means unlike their previous epic Kahaani but has maintained the right proportions an action packed film should have. Action director Andy Armstrong has proved to be impregnable of bastion with his high octane adrenaline pumped up action sequences. To design and craft sequences where the hero rises above horizons water-skiing with himself hooked to an aircraft, flying with a pillion up in the air, cruising in a bullet speed F1 car in the high-engineered roads of Abu Dhabi requires sheer audacity. The beautiful and grandeur locations of Prague, Thailand, Greece and Abu Dhabi have been captured on a brilliant and non-compromising scale.

Performances: Hrithik Roshan as Rajveer looks stylish throughout the film and his dance moves can make girls go weak on their knees. Katrina looks charming with her bubbly humor and hilarious dialogue delivery. Danny Denzongpa has a small but strong role as the main villain of the film who displays extreme vigour in his performance. The other actors like Pawan Malhotra, Javed Jaffrey and Jimmy Shergill are decent.

Music: Music department has been handled very well by Vishal-Shekhar blended with stylish background score rendered by duo Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant. Meherbaan was shot in Santorini in Greece written by Anvita Dutt Guptan sung by Ash King, Shilpa Rao and Shekhar Ravjiani. The title track was written by Vishal Dadlani and sung by Benny Dayal and Neeti Mohan is choreographed by Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves. Tumeri which is written and sung by Vishal Dadlani amplifies the energy of music lovers.

Verdict: To all the high budget action lovers, this is a Siddharth Raj Anand Reinforcement.
