Beehad - The Ravines Plot

Beehad is situated in the Chambel river valley. It is spread in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The valley is famous for producing the atrocious dacoits like Maan Singh, Putil Bhai, Malkhan Singh, Mohar Singh etc. All these dacoits are the result of Beehad. This trend of dacoity still continues but today they have transformed themselves into the sort of the private army. In the course of time, they have indulged into kidnapping, all of them except few joined the private armies.

The film Beehad The Ravines deals with these mix dacoits from the year 1975 to 2005. The filmmakers made this film after the full fledged research of 5 years. The film has been shot on the actual locations of Beehad in Chambel Ravines.

Initially, Beehad produced some fanatics like Shriram, Lalaram, Fakkad, Mustakeem etc. who frightened the entire Chambel valley with their dreadful acts. Shriram then mentored Vikram Mallah and Phoolan Devi into the terrorism. The duo ignited the Chambel valley with religious clashes. As a result, Kusuma Nain turned to a dacoit who killed Vikram Mallah and Phoolan Devi took a vengeance of her rape by killing 23 innocent people from the Behmai village after she got married to Maan Singh. Kusuma Nain then emerged as the most dreadful of all. She killed 15 Mallah including Shriram and Lalaram at Mai Aasta. After that she surrendered to the police and is still awaiting the judgement at Orai Jail.

Today the infamous Chambel valley does not have any real dacoit, but the name Beehad still reminds the trepidation. The film Beehad- The Raviness tells the story of such dacoits , their communal mistreatment , their battle against the discrimination and their supremacy of horror against opposite cult and classes.
