Bhindi Baazaar Inc Review

BHINDI BAAZAAR INC is a Hindi film which released on 17th June 2011.This movie was earlier slated to be released in February this year but due to some reasons its released got delayed.The film is based on the criminal background of Mumbai-Bhindi Bazaar hence named as BHINDI BAAZAAR INC.

Story : Shroff (K.K.Menon) and Fatah (Prashant Narayaran) play the game of chess and each and every game leaves a story behind them. From the infamous, narrow and dirty streets of Bhindi Baazaar, Fatah gets out and with his friend Teja (Gautam) gets involved in pick pocketing. No one can match these fellows in the action of pick pocketing. Mamu (Pawan Malhotra) is the gang leader of all pick pockets of this area.

Mamu's gang is protected by local police. Mamu's pickpocket gang rule Bhindi market and the nearby tribal areas. Fatah is of Mamau's gang but by any means his dream is to take the place of Mamu. On the other hand there is another gang of Pandey (Piyush Pandey) which is active in that area. Pandey and Mamu are number one enemies of each other and in a fight years back one finger of Pandey was lost. The same day Pandey vowed to eliminate Mamu. Among members of the gang Mamu's wife (Deepti Naval) is not an active participant and is jus a silent spectator in the film.The film ends with the destruction of each other because everyone is involved in conspiracy and wants to be number one in this dirty world of crime. Dirty Crime; Dirty Politics!

Performance : This is K.K.Menon's 2nd film released on the same date; the first one is BHEJA FRY 2. He has done his job well in BHEJA FRY 2 and he is also okay in this film. The role of K.K.Menon is less but his facial expressions tell a lot about his performance. The lose script has been covered by the high class performances of some good actors. Pawan Malhotra is one of the finest actors of Mumbai film industry and he has done his role perfectly. Piyush Pandey is also good in his role. He has lived the character. Prashant Narayan seems to be imitating Irfaan Khan in some scenes. Shilpa Shukla has spoken too many double meaning dialogues and did all her best to expose her skin on the screen. Even in a small role, Jacky Shroff impresses you.Hardly any footage is given to Dipti Naval.

Script : The script written by Galib Asad Bhopali is not good and there are many aspects in the film which is not digestible. There are many scenes and languages in the film which is not suitable for family or for children which is the reason why the censor board has marked it as an adult film. Despite being marked as an adult film the film contains some unwanted scenes which should have been cut off.

Direction : The direction of Ankush Bhatt is certainly good and appreciable but not the script or the story. This film shows that Ankush Bhatt has the potential to direct good films provided he gets or he chooses a good script. The producer of the film Karan Arora originally belongs to Britain but he made film based on India in India and gave break to upcoming director Ankush Bhatt. This is the debut film of the director Ankush Bhatt.

At first the director had planned to shoot it on real locations but there were some problems regarding the shoot approval from Mumbai police. However Mumbai police gave approval to shoot from late night till 8 am next morning to avoid any untoward incident. The shooting was finished in nearly 70 days.

One special thing about this film is that sister of Jenifer Lopej, Katrina Lopej is also seen dancing in one song. But this special thing has no importance because the film/script is not so good.

For the last some years, filmmakers have been making films based on the activities of underworld in which some films like ONCE UPON A TIME was hit whereas many flopped. This must have inspired the writer to write such script but it stands no where in comparison to ONCE UPON A TIME or other films like SATYA etc. Only the writer could imagine vulgar scenes and brutal scenes.

Music : The songs of the films hardly impress or please you.

Conclusion : This film has been based on underworld activities and inspired from different films based on same issue. There are many double meaning dialogues and unnecessary scenes of exposure. There are too many brutal scenes and you won't digest so many things. It will not leave a good effect on your mind. It may earn some revenues due to some adult nature scenes but may not be liked by intellectual people.

Verdict : If you have not watched any movie based on underworld activities you can watch this film otherwise the script is so rubbish that it is wastage of your money to watch this film in theaters.
