CHAAR DIN KI CHANDINI is a Hindi film which released on 8th March, 2012. Generally films in Bollywood releases on Friday, but this film released on Thursday due to the festival Holi. This film has been directed by Sameer Karnik; produced under the banners of Top Angle Productions and GRS Pictures and falls in comedy genre.
Story : Chandraveer Singh (Anupam Kher) is a Rajasthani Rajput who has five children ( all grown up) which comprises of four sons and one daughter. His youngest son is Veer Vikram Singh (Tussar Kapoor). Veer Vikran Singh lives in London and loves a Punjabi girl Chandni (Kulraj Randhawa). Veer's father sets the marriage of his younger daughter for which Veer has to come to his native place from London to attend the wedding ceremony of his sister. He also brings with him Chandani to introduce her with his family as his girl friend. But when he reaches his parental home, he comes to know that his father was a very strict conservative man who believed in caste system to extreme extent and in no case he would allow any of his family members to get married to anyone who is not of his caste. Confronting the real situation, he introduces his girl friend as a journalist who had reached there to cover the wedding report of his sister.
But a time comes when Chandani's Punjabi parents reach there and are about to disclose everything.
What happens after that is what that make the rest of the film.
Acting : Tusshar Kapoor is excellent in his role. He impresses you at many places. Anupam Kher is also excellent in his role. Om Puri is as usual and done his role brilliantly. Johny Lever is also excellent. Chandrachur Singh is average. Mukul Dev is okay. Sushant Singh is good. Kulraj Randhawa is okay in the role of Chandni. Sudhir Kumar is good in evoking comedy. Hemant Pandey is average.
Script : There are many things which do not make any sense. However, the writers have tried to create humor and have succeeded to some extent.
Music : Some songs are good and catchy such as Chandni remix.
Direction : Sameer Karnik has directed well. He has created comedy in many scenes. Though this film is not as funny as YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA, it does create some humor and laughter.
Plus Points : Clean Script; Comical/Laughter Scenes
Conclusion : Sameer Karnik has succeeded earlier in YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA to make the audience smile and he again proves his capability here but a little less that the previous one. People love to watch comedy films and since there is hardly any film as its rival, except KAHAANI, it may attract some audience, not on the first day but after a day or two of its release. But due to Holi, this film may get audience on its first day also.
Verdict : If you have time, go for it. You will find some laughter moments to forget your daily tensions for sometime.
