Chase is a thriller and its producer is Anuuj Saxena who has done the main lead in the film. Its director is Jagmohan Mundra and casts are Udita Goswami, Rajesh Khattar, Samir Kochar, Siddharth, Aditya Raj Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Tareena Patel, Caterina Murino, Shweta Menon, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tyagi etc.
This film is not what you got to see in the promos. Promos gave you the impression that Chase would be a good thriller with speed in the film, even though the star value was not so high. But after its release you realize that this film is not up to the mark. The thrill which you get to see only is bike stunts which you have already seen many films. The stunts which you saw in Dhoom 1 or Dhoom 2 were much more exciting than this film. So you won't find bike stunts in this film so exciting.
Last week only one film was released directed by Jagmohan Mundra titled as Apartment. It was in the genre of thriller but didn't spark thrill in the audience. Similarly this film too doesn't spark thrill in the audience.
The main problem is not with the direction but with the story and the script. Until and unless the script would be good, no director can make a good film. It is the responsibility of the producer and the director to choose a good script. But it is the tragedy of the film industry that film makers spend a lot of money on stunts, action, blasts and other things but do not spend enough money on finding good script.
Chase only justifies in the beginning when the film begins with chase. Rest of the film is so and so.
Police is chasing Sohail (Anuuj Saxena) due to a murder because police believe that he is involved in the murder. But he is not the murderer. He has just witnessed a murder but villains want to frame him and thus put police behind him. He is running from the police to save prove himself innocent.
What happens is the rest of the film.
Performance-wise everyone is okay but Anuuj Saxena needs to sharpen his acting skills if he want others to cast him otherwise he will have to produce films himself for him.
Background music is up to the mark.
If you love watching thriller, Chase will disappoint you.
