Cocktail Plot

Veronica (Deepika Padukone) is a 24-year-old and Meera (Diana Penty) is 23. They start living together during the summer in London. However their agendas are different. On one hand Meera is self-conscious, introvert who is recovering from a fraud marriage to Kunal Ahuja (Randeep Hooda) who had fooled her off her life-savings by using the pretence of setting up a base for them in London. Now Meera is spending her days under the roof of Veronica till the time she would find some footing and get a job in that foreign country. On the other hand Veronica character is totally different. She is a wild-child, spontaneous, constantly looking for disruptions so that she could escape facing issues of a troubled childhood. Though the characters of both are totally opposite in nature, they are still very close, and they forge a trustworthy and solid friendship.

In their lives enters Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) who is 32, and he moves in with them who develops a rapid relationship with Meera. She does love Gautam because he approach reminds her of her husband who had fooled and cheated her by conning her into coming to London in the first place.

Veronica and Gautam both believe in living for the moment and they truly believe this a chuck rather than a grave relationship. But as these 3 people live together they all come through a blast… Though their meanings for each other do not alter, their friendship begins to grow physically powerful. It becomes a beautifully balanced friendship between 3 people. Very soon Gautam feels that he is in the horns of quandary because he has to choose between Veronica and Meera. Since he is not able to decide between the two, he removes himself from their lives. But just like his intentions, this unexpected blankness in both Meera and Veronica's life worsens living for both.
