DOUBLE DHAMAAL is a Hindi feature film produced under the banner of Maruti International and is produced & directed by Indra Kumar. Ashok Thakeria is also the producer of the film.

Story : This is the story of four people who are fool, stupid and who are of no use for others. These four people are the same characters who played in the previous film DHAMAAL such as Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh), Adi (Arshad Warsi), Manav (Jaaved Jaaferi) and Boman (Aashish Chaudhry).

These characters want to earn money and become rich not through hard work but through easy money. They keep telling lies in this film too and show their stupidity. They dream of becoming rich but do no work for that.

One day they come across Kabir (Sanjay Dutt) who played the role of police inspector in previous film. They considered Kabir as one of their biggest enemies. But in this film Kabir is not a police who used to be after criminals in the previous film but in this film he is after money. When they see the luxurious life of Kabir they get jealous of him and start making plans to take advantage of his position.

A connection is made by the writer of the film between Kabir and the four stupid characters in this way. The four stupid want to earn profit by investing in buildings and for that they select one highest building named as KBC building. They plan to hire the building and ask investors to bid for it. But to their surprise, Kabir kidnaps their investor, who is also the owner of KBC building.

Soon Kabir comes to know that the four stupids were trying to reach him to set the investor free. Kabir plays a game and sets Kiya ( Kangna Ranawat ) and Kamini (Mallika Sherawat ) to play a different game with Roy and Adi.

So do the four stupid get rich? Who wins in the battle of Kabir and four stupids?

These are the answers which make rest of the film.

Performance : Acting wise Arsghad warsi has done well and Javed Jaffery is as usual.

Of course Riteish Deshmukh needs appreciation for performing 3 roles so nicely. This is the first film in which he has played 3 characters. He is very good.

Sanjay Dutt is also good in his role and justifies his character very well.

Ashish Chowdhry is okay.

Mallika Sherawat and Kangna Ranawat are presented in glamorous way and has performed as usual.

Music : Music of the film is average.

Script : Story is okay and this film has some laughter moments also because of some gags which you may find in foreign movies/DVDs. However it could have been better if not used some cheap comedy.

Direction : Though Indra Kumar is a big name, his direction is simple in this film as he couldn't show his talent here. It is the script which would attract you and not the direction. Even newcomers are directing very good films such as KHOSLA KA GHOSLA, TERE BIN LADEN etc. However, Indra Kumar maintains the beauty of his female artists and he has the ability to present them in glamorous way which he has done in this film too with Mallika Sherawat and Kangana Ranawat.

Conclusion : This movie is not as funny as the previous one. There are some laughter moments, but you also get irritated at many places. The artists have tried their best to make you laugh and have also succeeded to some extent. It is the gags picked up from other places which make you laugh at some places.

Verdict : There is nothing wrong in watching this film for the sake of little fun and smile/laughter. Don't expect it as comical as previous one and don't apply brain while watching the film. Just go for time-pass. This is an okay film but not a 'must see' film.
