Dum Laga Ke Haisha Plot
Prem Prakash Tiwari (Ayushman Khurana) is a school dropout who has not done much in life and runs his father's music cassette shop. He is also a big Kumar Sanu fan. Prem usually is strained to make his life's decisions by the influences of his family and friends. Prem is forced by his overbearing father (Sanjay Mishra) to get married to Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar) an educated and lively girl. Prem rejects her for being over-sized but eventually had to marry her due to family pressure.
The story unfolds as the stubborn Prem refuse to accept Sandhya only because as for him she is not beautiful as other girls. Sandhya however has accepted the uneducated and good for nothing Prem and is trying to give the marriage a chance in spite of the various unfavourable circumstances. Sandhya is a confident girl and an independent thinker who stood up for herself when the time demanded. The twist lies in the question that how does Prem who is so obsessed with outer beauty will ever fall for Sandhya. How love blossoms between the two is fun to watch.
