GALI GALI CHOR HAI is a Hindi feature film which released on 3rd February, 2012. This film has been directed by Rumi Jaffery and has been produced under the banner of One Up Entertainment Pvt Ltd. It has been produced by Nitin Manmohan. This film falls in the genre of Comedy.

Story : Bharat (Akshay Khanna) is a common man (aam aadmi). He lives in Bhopal and he works in a bank as a cashier. He possesses a scooter. In his part time he acts in drama – cum-plays which are mostly of Ramayan and he mostly does the role of Hanuman. His wife is a school teacher whose name is Nisha. Shivnarayan is his father, who respects patriotism and desires India to be corruption free.

Twist comes in the film due to Amita, who becomes their unwanted guest. She is young and beautiful and works in a call centre. Due to her, Nisha gets uncomfortable and insecure. Nisha always desires her husband's promotion in the bank where he worked. She wants him to be promoted to manager from cashier, his present post.

But with Bharat, the case and his ambition is different. He has done the role of Hanumaan always and now he aspires to do the role of Ram. But every time, Sattu Tripathi plays the role of Ram because he of his elder brother Manku Tripathi's influence who is MLA, a politician.

Sattu Tripathi and Manku Tripathi do not like Bharat for various reasons. Sattu Tripathi is also jealous of Bharat's acting skills which is far better than him. Thus he also considers him his rival.

Not only Sattu, but even Manku is involved with Bharat due to a room and his political campaign. Also Bharat's table-fan gets stolen one day.

Thereafter begins dirty politics and fight against corruption.

Acting : Akshay Khanaa is good. He has justified the role of a common man. Shriya Saran looks beautiful and has acted well. Mugdha Godse has got very less footage to show her acting skills. However she looks pretty in her small role. Annu Kapoor is very good in the role of constable. Satish Kapoor is good in the role of frustrated father.

Script : Message of the film is good. It talks about frustration of a common man and corruptions prevalent in our country. It is a bit comical too but screenplay is a bit weak hence may not hold your attention as much as it should have done because the plot is good.

Music : Introductory song with the title of the film gives it good start.

Direction : It is okay. Rumy Jaffry has touched current issue of corruption which is the problem of everyone. Yet there is something missing in the film which is not going to make it a big hit. Yet it should attract intelligent viewers. Except AGNEEPATH, no other film is there to compete it.

Verdict : No problem in watching once.
