Rating: 1.5/5

One line Review: Great Grand Masti is a sub-standard horror-sex-comedy drama that is likable only in parts and, overall fails to entertain.

Positive Points: Performances of the lead actors Riteish DeshmukhVivek OberoiAftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela’s glamorous avatar.

Negative Points: The film has no solid story line and, it seems like the film has been made just for the sake of it. There is humour that fails to entertain fully and becomes annoying after a certain point.

Great Grand Masti Review

Plot: The story revolves around the three leads Amar Saxena (Riteish Deshmukh), Meet Mehta (Vivek Oberoi) and Prem Chawla (Aftab Shivdasani). Amar, Meet and Prem are best buddies. All three of them are troubled by their respective wives and family issues. Hence, they decide to cheat on their wives to spice up their lives. The three friends visit Doodhwadi to sell off Amar’s heritage bungalow and also have fun in the meanwhile, staying away from their wives. They learn that the bungalow is haunted and, encounter an attractive virgin ghost Ragini (Urvashi Rautela), who tries to seduce them to satisfy her lust. Amar, Meet and Prem get trapped in the haunted house with nowhere to go. Midst the chaos, the wives and family members of the three guys visit the haunted house to add to the drama.

Direction and other Technical Aspects: Director Indra Kumar has done an average job and has failed to uplift the script that is weaved badly. There is no solid storyline or plot to stick to. The humour that they wished to create has terribly gone wrong! The movie is overall a disappointing affair. It lacked the grip and could not keep the audiences hooked. The execution is unfortunately not impactful.

Performances: The presence and performance of Riteish DeshmukhVivek OberoiAftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela makes the film watchable. The three leads Riteish, Vivek and Aftab display monotony in some sequences but, manage to pull of comic dialogues well. The actors are best at their comic timings. Urvershi looks charming and glamorous as a sexy ghost. She does justice to her part. Sanjay Mishra as the fraud Sadhu Baba pulls off his role decently but, does not invoke any laughter with his unnecessary dialogues. All other supporting actors including Mishti, Shraddha Das, Puja Banerjee, are good. Shreyas Talpade has a cameo role.

Music: All the songs are passable and, do not leave any impact. Background score is average.

Final Verdict: Whether it's a watch or no purely depends on personal choice but it if we talk about the content, it seriously is not worth your time.
