Hari-Bhari Plot
It is a tale of 3 generations of a Muslim family in Utter Pradesh. The story is based on case studies of certain families in the region. Surekha Sikri-Rege is the head of a joint family. Other members of the family are, the elder son Lalit Tiwari, his wife Alka Trivedi and their two sons. The younger son, Rajit Kapoor, his wife Nandita Das and their two sons and daughter. Shabana Azmi is the Surekha's daughter, who is thrown out of her house because she cannot give birth to a child. She comes to stay in her parental house with her daughter, Rajeshwari Sachdev.
