ISI LIFE MEIN is a movie which revolves around college students; the younger generation! The director Vidhi Kasliwal has tried to convey today's student message through this film but has she succeeded?
To some extent!

Directior: Vidhi Kasliwal
STORY: The story of the film is that Rajnandini (Sandeepa Dhar) is a young girl who is good in studies. She hails from Ajmer. She wants to go for higher studies but her family doesn't want this. So as she completes her 12th class her family members start planning her marriage and look for groom for her.
Rajnandini doesn't want to get married at such an early age but no one listens to her. However, she gets emotional support from her mother (Shah) who plans her to send to Mumbai for different kind of experience.
Rajnandini's father (Mohnish Behl) thinks that his daughter was staying with one of her relatives in Mumbai but it is not so. But Rajnandini doesn't opt to stay with her relatives. She prefers to stay in college hostel, where she joins to study further.
She is interested in plays so with her friends she joins the Dramatic Society where she could stage a play which was to be directed by Vivaan (Akshay Oberoi). But things are not so easy even after she is away from her parents. She forgets everything that her parents were planning to get her married and get engrossed in preparation when she gets to know that her family had fixed her marriage. She gets shocked to know this even though it was not new to her and she knew her family's attitude. So she is compelled to get back to her parental house in Ajmer without staging the play.Vivaan and Rajnandini's friends are not happy with her parent's attitude.
They want her to get back and stage the show and also help her out in different matters. So they go to her parental house in Ajmer to support her.
What happens next makes the rest of the film. Is she married or Vivaan and her friends succeed in their goal? What is the relation between Rajnandini and Vivaan? Do they love each other and get married? Rajnandini's family is of traditional thoughts so do they allow what Vivaan and Rajnandini wanted?
All the answers are given in the film ISI LIFE MEIN.
Just like any other film from Rajshree banner, this film too contains family values and shows younger generation to respect family values. At the same time, this film also shows the problem which new generation is facing.
DIRECTION: This film is the debut film of Vidhi Kasliwal and she has tried to do well. But many things lack in the film which doesn't make it like a film and would finally let you down. Vidhi Kasliwal has confidently portrayed the dilemmas of small town girl like Rajnandani. She has also shown marriage ceremony in perfect style. She has presented both the leading artists chemistry fairly good and there are possibilities of her turning to be a good director in coming few films provided she selects good content.
SCRIPT: The content should have been better and interesting. Films should not only pass message to the audiences but they should also be able to entertain them; in which this film doesn't succeed.
Music: Films of Rajshree banner contain good music and as usual, music of this film too is good.
Performance: Akshay Oberoi is a newcomer, yet he has done his job fairly well and appears confident in his work. Sandeepa Dhar too is good and her chemistry on screen with Akshay Oberoi is okay.
Prachi Shah is also okay.
DRAWBACKS: There are hardly fresh and new scenes and you would feel that you have watched similar scenes and similar characters in some films like DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE etc.
Apart from content, the length of the films is also one factor which makes you feel the film to be dragging.
You don't get any reason why heroine's father looks angrily at her friends. Also you would hardly digest the fact that any father like Rajnandani's father would not know that his daughter was not staying with her relatives and was staying in her College's hostel.
Conclusion: It not a bad film and gives good message. However its not entertaining and seems to be dull.
Verdict: You can go for it if you want to see some marriage ceremonies on screen picturized in well manner otherwise you would miss nothing if you miss this film.
