One Line Review: One time watch triangle love story.
Story: Samar Anand (Shah Rukh Khan) lives in London and does a small job for living. There he meets Meera Thapar (Katrina Kaif), she is the daughter of an industrialist (Anupam Kher). Samar and Katrina fall in love and a time comes when he loses his memory due to an accident. However, things take turn and they have to part from each other.
Samar left London and became a leading bomb disposal squad in the Indian army. He metamorphoses into "The Man Who Can't Die", disposing bombs without any safety gear. Here, he meets Akira Rai (Anushka Sharma), who is a spunky go-getter and is in the process of making a documentary film. She is very bold and believes in living relationship. Akira fall in love with Samar, but a time comes when Samar again loses his memory due to an accident. And, now there is only one way to get back his memory - to bring Meera back in his life.
Would Akira do that? If yes, what would Meera do after meeting her lover once again? Whom would Samar choose now?
All such queries are answered in the remaining part of the film.
Performance: Shah Rukh Khan's performance is as usual. Anushka Sharma has performed well. She has played a bold and glamorous role. Katrina Kaif has improved a lot in her acting skills which can be observed in this movie. Anupam Kher,Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh is okay.
Script: Screenplay and dialogues are okay, but the story is not so strong. However, the writer could have reduced the length of the script.
Music: Some of the songs are very good that have been composed by A. R. Rahman.
Direction: Yash Chopra's direction is excellent. He has narrated the story in an extraordinary way. His choice of locations is very good. You get to see very beautiful locations on the screen. He has presented a love story in a perfect way. However, he should have reduced the length of the film.
Plus Points: Performance of Shah Rukh Khan; Excellent Direction; Beautiful Locations; Music
Minus Points: Length of the film; Weak Story
Conclusion: This film is good but can't be said as the masterpiece of Yash Chopra, who earlier made memorable films such as 'Kabhi Kabhi', 'Silsila', 'Chandni', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' etc. However, it's his last film, so it will always be remembered as a different film.
Verdict: It is a one time watch movie!
