Some time back a film had come titled as JANE TUM YA NA JANE TUM which was a big hit. This film was directed by Abbas Tyerwala. The same director has come up with another film titled as JHOOTHA HI SAHI. The film stars John Abraham, Pakhi, R Madhavan, Raghu Ram, Manasi Scott, Anaitha Nair, Nandana Sen and Alishka Varde.

The story of the film is such:

Siddharth (John Abraham) runs a book store in London with his friends like Umar (Raghuram). He has adapted himself in western culture and he likes himself to be called as Sid.

Sid dreams a lot and he achieves everything in his dreams which he can't get in real life or which he can't even thing of achieving in real life. Sid is fond of adventure and he likes to climb on the highest peak Mount Everest.

Twist comes in his life when his phone number is published somewhere to help people in distress. He starts getting calls from people in distress and people who want to commit suicide. He helps them by guiding them. Coincidently, the heroine of the film Mishka (Pakhi) too calls him to tell her problem. Sid solves her problem. Thereafter both of them become phone friend. Sid comes to know that her name was Mishka. He wants to meet her. He doesn't have to wait for long. He meets her one day when Mishka visits his shop. Sid knows that she was Mishka but she is unaware of the fact that he was the same person who used to guide her on phone. Sid falls in love with her and very soon both of them start dating with each other. Whatever Sid wants Mishka to do for him, he tells her that matter to her on phone as her phone friend. He even tells her to love Sid indirectly.  So to hide his real identity, Sid always tells her lie that's why the film is titled as JHOOTHA KAHIN KA which is justified.

Before JHOOTHA KAHIN KA, the film was given two three different titles but due to some reasons or the other those titled kept on changing and finally JHOOTHA KAHIN KA was approved by all.

Music of the film is good which is given by A.R.Rehman but they may not last as long as the music of the film JANE TU YA JANE NA. Pappu Can't Dance Saala song of the film JANE TU YA JANE NA lasted for very long and even now many music lovers enjoy that song.

The story of the film is written by Pakhi who is also the wife of the director Abbas Tyrewala. Though the story is good by Pakhi, she is not fit as heroine in the film opposite to John Abraham. Though her acting is not bad, audience would like to see some other heroine opposite to John Abraham. Few years back, a film of Pakhi was released titled as YE KYA HO RAHA HAI in which Pakhi played lead role. But when the film came and when it vanished even Pakhi might not have the knowledge. This is the drawback of the film which can affect its business.

Also there are many points in the film which are not new. If you have watched DIL HI DL MEIN or NA TUM JANO NA HUM you would find many scenes similar in this film.

The film is a bit slow before the interval, however it catches speed post interval. But the climax is unnecessarily exaggerated and extended.

John has done his job very well. He has given brilliant performance.

Other stars such as Mahadevan etc too have justified their roles.

JHOOTHA HI SAHI is also a light film and made for youngsters. Though this film is not as good as JANE TU YA JANE NA, you will not get bored. So you can go for it.
