Rating: 2/5
One Line Review: Let down compared to the scope it had, a very dull and repeated script.
Positive Points: Splendid performances by all characters
Negative Points: Disappointing and futile dialogues; Bad screenplay; Weak story; below average music
Plot: The story is about a Law graduate Jagdish Tyagi, aka Jolly L.L.B (Arshad Warsi) who passed his law from Merut and comes to Delhi to make a career. But still not find a good case and works in unethical ways to earn his bread. Jagdish who is waiting to get a big break, strikes an idea of voluntarily taking a case against the Biggest Lawyer of the city Tejandar Rajpal (Boman Irani). Actually, Rajpal had won a case for his wealthy and rich client Rahul Deewan, who killed six people in a Hit and Run case but got away safely as no witness stood against him. Jolly re-opens the case through Public Interest litigation (PIL) law and sight an eye-witness in Albert Pinto, a business man. But before the decision date of court Jolly is offered bribe and comes to know that Albert Pinto was a fake witness introduced by opposition. Jolly agrees to take bribe and lose the case. But as soon as his girlfriend Sandhya (Amrita Rao) finds it out, she resent this act of him and makes him feel guilty about his decision. This invokes the inner conscience of Jolly and he returns the bribe to opposition and sets out to fight strongly but with no witness in hand.
Will Jolly ever succeed in getting justice? Will the Truth triumph?
Direction And Other Technical Aspects: Nothing new in script; technical faults, make up faults like change in the side of bandage placed on Jolly's face; No hard hitting dialogues and no message, Police and legal system shown in very dark light. The director Subhash Kapoor's attempt to create a comedy in court violates with the dignity of courts and looks made-up.
Performances: Boman Irani once more delivers at par to his caliber, Amrita Rao, who is seen after a while, is exceedingly good, and Arshad too performs nicely, but once again chose a wrong film after the previous 'Zila Ghaziabad'. It seems multi-starrer fortunes him more. Sanjay Mishra creates an impact even in his small role again after his last performance in 'Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga'
Final Verdict: Makes no change if not watched.
