Storyline
The movie is based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930 during India's freedom fight. A gang of school going teenagers joins hands with the freedom fighter school teacher Surjya Sen who plans to surprise the ruling British Government by dismantling the telecommunication and transportation systems. He along with his fellow school teachers Kalpana Dutta and Preetilata Waddedar trains the school boys for the uprising moment.

Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey is a movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker based on the book 'Do or Die' written by Manini Chatterjee about a true event based on an uprising in the year 1930 in Chittagong. It consists of a star cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Visakha who plays Pritilata Waddekar and Deepika Padukone (playing Kalpana Dutta). The movie is produced by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Bijli and Sunita A Gowariker. The movie portrays the era of 1930 that turns out to be a year after Gandhiji carried on the Civil disobedience movement. Unfortunately, the youngsters of a place Chittagong in Bengal believe that this movement hasn't done any good and hence move ahead to take on the British on their own....
