KNOCK OUT is a fast thriller which stars Sanjay Dutt, Irfaan Khan, Kangana Ranawat etc. This film has been directed by Mani Shankar, and is said to be remake of Hollywood film TELEPHONE BOOTH.  This movie has been produced by Sohail Maklai.

It is reported that the cost of making KNOCK OUT is nearly 3 hundred million.

The story of the film is such:

Bacchu Bhai (Irfaan Khan) usually makes a call from a telephone booth on his way. Thus he jots down a few addresses.

But one day Bacchu Bhai is stuck in that telephone booth as a nightmare. He would never forget those frightening moments which he spends in and around that telephone booth.

Actually, Sanjay Dutt is a ranger, who has a passion of modern technology and modern weapons. He is a government officer who fights against crime. He makes Bachhu Bhai a hostage in that telephone booth and makes him dance at his will.

Well, what is the reason behind this and what happens at the end is the rest of the film.

Irfaan Khan is awesome in his role and has justified his part very well.

Sanjay Dutt has also given brilliant performance. He has done his job very well.

Kangana has very little to do. She is a TV journalist. She is average.

This film is inspired by HOLLYWOOD FILM TELEPHONE BOOTH, but that film didn't do well in its origin country. Thus the makers of KNOCK OUT have done a brave job by making a remake of a flop film. Usually people in Bollywood make remake of any hit film only.

KNOCK OUT lacks romance and songs and its not entertaining. Technically and direction wise it is a good film and may keep you hooked. The subject of the film also is on current topic where politicians keep their money in foreign banks.

The director Manishanker has done a good job but if you want to be entertained, this film is not for you. But if you want to watch serious movie you can go for it.
