Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi Review

One Line Review: Not really much of a worth watching film, which is all about friendship and doing the right thing no matter what.

Positive Points: Bits of comic scenes and dialogues scattered in the film.

Negative Points: Directionless story line; mediocre music; not an engaging plot.

Plot: Kuku Mathur (Siddharth Gupta) is a simple and very nave young middle class guy from Delhi, who is the childhood friend of Ronnie (Ashish Juneja), who is from a relatively wealthy business family in the city. He lives with his father and his younger sister and has lost his mother to an accident years ago.

After completing his 12th Kuku lands up in the job of a local Haryanvi film industry spot boy, while his friend Ronnie starts to work in his family business, a saree matching center. Alongside, he falls in love with a girl who also happens to be the girlfriend of his friend's elder brother (Simran Kaur Mundi).

Though Kuku takes up the job voluntarily, he doesn't like a bit of it. One fine day he is insulted by his best friend's brother and after that, by his grandfather and by his friend too. Then his maternal cousin Prabhakar Shukla (AMIT SIAL) gives him an idea, to loot all the goods from his friend's go down and then burn it down. From the money that he gets from selling the goods, he would open his own restaurant.

Whether Kuku will burn his friend's go down as a revenge or whether he will regret his decision is revealed in the further tale.

Direction And Other Technical Aspects: The direction is not so impressive and is just as average as it could be. The settings are all in the city of old Delhi and are typical of the films that have been coming from the last four years.

The cinematography too is also very mediocre and hence is one of the factors that fails to impress the audiences.

Performances: Siddharth Gupta, who is a debutant performs well the role of a nave young man who is all confused about his life and his choices.

Ashish Juneja is also in sync with his rule of being a young guy who is believes in enjoying life with friends.

Music: There is not much of music in the film, however, the song in the beginning 'Tu Tu Tu' by Ankur Tewari is a bit entertaining which is shot in the backdrop of a film shoot.

Final verdict: 'Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi' is all about being the best buddies and not taking the wrong advice. However, the film has been made such a mediocre manner that its hardly entertaining or engaging. You cannot expect much from this film after all, except for a few comic scenes and dialogues here and there.
