Love You To Death Review

LOVE YOU TO DEATH is a Hinglish film which released on 3rd February, 2012. This film has been directed by Rafeeq Ellias under the banner of Fat Mama Films and falls under the genre of Comedy. But does it really make you laugh or even smile? Have a look at it.

Story : This is a story of some people who are selfish, self centered, betrayers and bla bla bla.. Atul (Chandan Roy Sanyal) is good for nothing except that he is the husband of a rich women Sonia (Yuki Ellias). Atul is a very selfish businessman who doesn't even spare his wife's wealth or life for the sake of his business. His mother Sundari (Suhasini Mulay) is on the top list of selfishness and cruelty. This family loves money more than anyone's life. A time comes when Atul and Sundari plan to eliminate Sonia in order to grab her land and money.

Would they succeed in murdering Sonia? Would Sonia come to know about their brutal plan? What would be the result? These are some answers given in the end of the film.

Performance : Suhasini has done well in the role of greedy mother-in-law. She has justified her role. Chandan Roy Sanyal is so and so and doesn't impress you despite being such grey character. Yuki Ellias performance is convincing as Sonia but she doesn't look glamorous and beautiful. Other actors are average.

Script : There are four writers such as Rafeeq Ellias, Abhro Banerjee, Yuki Ellias and Pallu Newatia involved in writing the script and they have spoilt it or say have developed a rubbish script. Even though the director is also involved in script writing, it is not good. Since Yuki Ellias is also the writer, may be due to that, she has kept the best role for her.

Music : Very poor.

Direction : There is nothing worthy to mention about the direction of Rafeeq Ellias. Any chief assistant director could have done what he has done. What matters the most is the script which is not at all good.

Good Points : Low Budget

Negative Points : Everything except performances of some actors

Conclusion : It is a boring film in the name of comedy and you may laugh on the foolishness of some characters and not on the funny scenes. In the name of comedy, it is an unbearable film. No entertainment; no fun; no music; no motive.. You don't understand why they make such films by spending so much money! Why don't they find good scripts?

Verdict : Wastage of time and money to watch it in theaters.
