One Line Review: the movie shows the battle of one cop against Mumbai's corrupt and criminal underbelly, but completely fails to leave a good impression.

Positive Points: fine dialogues; good antagonist performances.

Negative Points: average action sequences; poor direction; unimpressive screenplay; below average music.

Plot:Mumbai cop Abhijeet Patil (Sachiin Joshi) is not any honest or a sincere cop. He drinks heavily when not on duty; he indulges in illegal cricket betting and sniffs cocaine. However, one thing that gets him totally enraged, is the site of a woman being oppressed. He is also rash and out of his way most of the times, but it is his uncle Gaitonde (Mahesh Manjrekar) who saves him from reeling under the ire of the department. This young cop starts a dance bar crack down, which pits him against a powerful city goon Shetty (Prakash Raj). On the other hand, he is also in trouble with another powerful goon in the city called Lala (Aditya Pancholi). For avenging his partner's death in a restaurant mass killing, he kills four goons in an encounter, which attracts the ire of CBI officer J.P Yadav, (Sudesh Beri), who is a puppet of Shetty. Apparently, he finds his love interest in a popular news channel reporter (Vimla Raman). Now the young blood cop is also used to play chess with Shetty, defeating him in every game. He uses his mastery and skills to get himself out of the trap and emerge victorious. Watch the film to know how.

Direction And Other Technical Aspects:The direction of the film is undoubtedly average. Cinematography was good at certain points but was not impressive in an overall sense. Action sequences could have been better, but were just average.

Performances:The performances are not so impressive. Sachiin Joshi fails to deliver his act as a strong policeman. He lacks the charm and strength of a typical powerful cop portrayed in the film. However the antagonist performances played by Prakash Raj and Aditya Pancholi are good. Mahesh Manjrekar delivers a satisfactory performance as a senior cop. The supporting characters are well within their position.

Final Verdict:The movie is an overall a mediocre delivery of a cop drama from which you cannot expect much. It may entertain you at certain scenes, but the larger picture doesn't hold much stuff.
