No Problem Review

NO PROBLEM is a comedy film produced under the banner of Eros International, Anil Kapoor Films Company and Spice Infotainment. Its producers are Rajat Rawail, Anil Kapoor and Dr. V.K. Modi.

This film stars some big stars such as Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Akshya Khanna, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Neetu Chandra, Kangana Ranawat, Sushmita Sen, Ranjit etc. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee and music director of the film is Pritam.

The story of the film is such:

Yash (Sanjay Dutt) and Raj (Akshaye Khanna) are childhood friends who are also crooks. Raj wishes to lead his rest of life doing some good work and honestly but due to Yash his desire fails and his chances of turning into good man jeopardizes.

The gang of Markos (Sunil Shetty) steals diamonds of crores on the hint of a minister. But the minister himself captures all the wealth and sends Markos to prison. Markos gets furious over this and to take revenge he escapes from the jail.

On the other hand Yash and Raj rob a bank of Jhandulal (Paresh Lal) known as First Village Bank. But since in confusion Jhandulal had given shelter to Yash and Raj, Jhandulal also becomes one suspect in the eyes of police.

Arjun Singh (Anil Kapoor) is a senior inspector, who is on the hunt of Markos. Kajal(Sushmita Sen) is Arjun's wife. Since Arjun is timid, Kajal suffers from split personality disorder and her behaviour changes completely for a few minutes in a day. During those moments she wants to kill her husband or she behaves so abnormally that Arjun gets panicked.

Commissioner (Shakti Kapoor) is Kajal's father who is trapped between the quarrel of Son in law and his daughter.

Script: The story of the film is very weak and full of confusion. There are too many flaws in the script. The screenplay too is weak and instead of making you laugh, the scenes would irritate you.

Pritam has emerged as a good music director who has given very good music in some of his previous films but he failed to give nice tracks in this film. So, hardly any song of No Problem has become popular.

All the stars have done their job well. Sunil Shetty is too good but due to lack of script he had nothing to do. Same is the case with Anil Kapoor. He is a good actor who did mind blowing performance in SULMDOG MILLIONAIRE but in this film what he has done is out of our thinking.

Paresh Rawal has done his job as usual and there is nothing new in his performance.

Kangana Ranawat has tried to expose her beauty by wearing short dress which some of the masses may like but acting wise she couldn't impress the audience. Sushmita Sen has acted brilliantly but lacked glamour in her role.

Sanjay Dutt is excellent in his performance but his character portrayed in the film is bad hence he is unable to impress you. Akshay Khann has also given outstanding performance and his character is good.

Direction : The direction of the film is poor. Anees Bazmee is a good director and has given some hit films in the past such as PYAR TO HONA HIN THA, SINGH IS KING, WELCOME etc. But without good script he couldn't do anything here. He has just tried to make you laugh through confusion. Though audience should not seek too much logic in a comedy film, yet a comedy film should have some sensible storyline.

For example, recently released films TERE BIN LADEN and PHANS GAYE RE OBAMA had strong storyline. These films too created humor but there was some sense in them. They were not senseless. Whereas KHICHADI was too irritating and if you keep watching films regularly like KHICHADI you are too going to turn mentally retarded.

The film NO PROBLEM will surely make you laugh at some places but you will not enjoy the laughter. You laugh in many conditions; when you miss a bus you laugh but that laughter doesn't give you happiness. Same is the case here.

Anil Kapoor as an actor makes sensible decision but as a producer he has made mistake by choosing weak script. His film AYESHA (in the name of his daughter Rhea as producer) flopped just due to weak script whereas he had spent millions of rupees of dress designers. He could have spent money on good script.

Anees Bazmee has become over confident of his films which resulted in such as weak film. If you compare this film with his previous films it doesn't stand anywhere.

You can watch this film on satellite channel but not on big screen after spending your highly earned money. This film would be another example that only big stars name do not work for any film's success but good script sits at the top of everything.

Wait for its satellite release! Wastage of time and money to watch in theaters!
