Overtime Review

OVERTIME is a Hindi feature films which released on 10th August, 2012. It has been produced under the banner of Serene Films and is produced by Ajay Yadav who is also the director of it. Is it worth watching? Read the review below.

Story : It contains the story of a young girl whose name is Khushi (Swati Sharma). She lives in Mumbai and dreams of getting into glamorous industry-Film Industry. She aspires to become heroine of Bollywood one day. But instead of becoming heroine, she becomes a call girl- a high profile call girl! She keeps sleeping with different men for money and thus this film gets the title OVERTIME.

She is being manipulated and used by many people such as builder Sawant (Yashpal Sharma), politician Aartre (Satish Kaushik) who is a corrupt politician and Sawant's Secretary Liza (Arzoo Govitrikar) and Shankar alias Shanky (Vijay Raaz) who is a film co-ordinator. In this way she gets involved in the call girl trade instead of becoming a heroine. What is her end is what makes the rest of the part of the film.

Acting : Swati Sharma in the lead role is dull and from no angle appears to be heroine because her acting skills are very poor. Satish Kaushik, Yashpal Sharma, Vijay Raaz are as usual. Their talents are wasted in a film like this.

Script : The plot is stale and the screenplay is dull. From no point it impresses you. Even the dialogues are poor. The story has been picked from various old films of same nature. Even the lyrics are very poor.

Direction : The direction is very poor and the director lays stress on the call girl scenes more than real struggle. It seems that he wants to show adult part more to attract the audience but when audience would go to watch it they would get irritated. The director could not present any character in an impressive manner especially his lead female cast.

Conclusion : This film neither has good content nor good direction nor any good message. Even though it has been made in a very low budget, it will be difficult for it to reach even break even point.

Minus Points : Poor Performance by the lead cast; Poor Script; Weak Direction

Verdict : Not worth watching! Better use your money somewhere else than wasting it on this film!
