Thank God atleast we can still expect more from Bollywood, they have not lost it yet, and they on deniably proved that they can deliver best and at par with the standards of other part of the world and the credit goes to the movie "PAA" as it has done it for them. Paa is a fresh story told in a simple way with many incredible performances to treasure. It is a perfect example of a movie of those of timeless classics. With its intelligent, controlled and clever promotional campaign the movie to be sure is very admiring. The movie revolved around a rare disease causing serious physical and mental disorder in a person. But the campaign was planned in such a way that it never showed signs of a complain looking for some sympathy and pity from the viewers and they very pleasingly came up with a positive and encouraging feel in its promos and its soothing music and captivating dance movements that featured the main character "Auro". The promotions were well balanced that didn't create any over hype about the movie this made the directors to win half their battle at the box office. The movie is directed by R. Balki with its success that totally belongs to observable fact that is Amitabh Bachchan who plays the character of Auro. This man has proved that nothing can ever stop him and by playing an extraordinary and out of the world character "Auro" he has made it a point. The thing that is going to surprise you is that in his this on screen performance you will never find the real Amitabh Bachchan anywhere in those two hours of the movie. As comprising his entire past history of all his huge blockbusters, Amitabh was always a Bollywood persona that was always hidden in his onscreen characters that he always played. But in this movie where you know that Amitabh is also featuring in it as a very important character, you still can never feel that he is there on the screen. He very bravely adopts a completely different soul that is contrary to his world famous style and hard voice structure. Truly speaking, Amitabh with his immense block buster performance have made every one find a new word to praise his flawless and unique act of 'Auro' in "Paa". Amitabh bachchan will make you believe that are you seeing on screen right from the movie's first scene where that is introducing "Auro" in his school function. He unassumingly forces every viewer in the movie theater to acknowledge that they are watching the most accomplished and talented actor of the millennium or say all times who has just walked beyond all the Bollywood Titles as he the best of the best. Especially in the scenes where he is talking to his kid friends in their own school lingo and in the emotional climax sequence inside the hospital where he is in his last stage of his life and he tries to unite his parents played by Vidya Balan and Abhishek Bachchan. Auro goes on to set new benchmarks for the entire Indian Film Industry. Unexpectedly Vidya Balan has played a part of a tough mother who raises Auro on her own with the help of her mother. Vidya have given an effortless performance if compared to her films till date. Abhishek Bachchan as the truthful politician and father of 'Auro', delivers another polished and graceful act the way he did in "Guru" and "Yuva". In this he has portrayed a very controlled emotional performance, and never has tried to overtake any other actor's performance in the movie. Both Vidya and Abhishek are sharing a very good chemistry on screen which actually is helping a lot in enhancing the overall impact of 'Auro' on the viewers. The script has some unnecessary explanation of political activities and slums although it could have been easily avoided, but the immaculate performances of the entire cast don't let you think about these not so useful scenes in the movie and it goes on making you feel impressed continuously. In fact it unquestionably surpasses such scenes and makes the characterizations and the emotional portrayals by his actors very effective. Arundhati Naag, who plays Vidya's mother and Auro's naani is worth mentioning in the movie because of her powerful act, Auro fondly calls her as Bums. Her admirable act emerges as a strong pillar in addition to the other star studs present in the movie. Paresh Rawal again proves every one that he still immensely talented after playing a few irresponsible and reckless acts in some brainless movies. Last but not the least come all the child artists in the movie, how can we forget them as they are intelligent enough to understand the pain and suffering of their friend "Auro" and every time tried to help him out wherever and whenever they could. What different from the other movies on the children was that it was really nice to see that Auro was not being teased in his school by his school mates. In fact, it portrayed that all the kids had the sympathy to feel the abnormality or say defect 'Auro' was born with. Musically to the film is given by the maestro Illayaraja and he has given exactly what was needed as per the subject and the script as the theme music is pleasant and his songs don't act as a interference in the narration. R. Balki has used the song very skillfully in their promotional campaign and as the background score of the movie wherever needed. Dialogues are intelligent, clever, sharp and very well written. Cinematography is done by P.C. Sreeram is amazing as He has brilliantly used innovative camera angles to portray the important character of "Auro" and his abnormal body structure. What was most outstanding in the movie was the makeup of Auro that made it so believable and unimaginable and for this the trophy goes to Christien Tinsley and Domini Till. Kudos to the duo to achieve this phenomenal task and hats off to Amitabh Bachchan for undergoing such a time consuming and painful process in this age. In short the movie is amazing and a must watch or everyone to experience to learn and enjoy the gift of life at any age and at any circumstance. The film makes you realize the importance everything that is with you and will be whole of your life and to cherish everything till the end. Honestly, the main highlight of the movie is that even when the story revolves around a diseased character with an abnormal behavior, the director is simply not interested in taking you onto an emotional journey at all. "Paa" is not just another tear jerker as expected by many. On the contrary the film is a very enjoyable having many light entertaining moments with 'Auro' for everyone in the family. And for that the director R. Balki rightly deserves all the praises and of course also the entire cast and crew and whoever involved in the success of the movie. Only one statement can match the character Auro is the unbelievably expressive and impressive act of Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. This proves that nobody can invade him as he is the only and forever be the \"Big Paa\" for the entire Indian film Industry.
