PAPPU CANT DANCE SAALA is a Hindi feature film which released on 16th December, 2011. It genre is romance-comedy and is produced by Ravindra Singh and Sameer Nair.
Story : It is the story of a man and a woman playing the roles of Vidhyadhar Acharya and Mahak Malvade played by Vinay Pathak and Neha Dhupia respectively. Vidhyadhar is a simple man whereas Mahak is a modern lady. Mahak is a dancer (in chorus) in Mumbai (Bollywood) whereas Vidhyadhar has just shifted from Banaras to Mumbai to fulfill his dream. Firstly both of them live together as each others neighbor but some circumstances bring them into on room and they start living like roommates.
What happens after that is what is shown in the rest of the film.
Performance : Vinay Pathak can do comedy roles in well manner but in this film you don't get to see what you expect from him. At some places he becomes loud whereas at some places he becomes weak. It seems he has become over confident; however at some places he is good as ever. Neha Dhupia is good in such roles. Rajat Kapoor is okay. Sanjay Mishra is as usual.
Script : Story of the film is stale and so is screenplay. Even the dialogues are not impressive.
Music : Music of the film is not worth mentioning. It is below average.
Direction : Saurabh Shukla has tried his best to give you an entertaining film but due to poor script he fails in his effort.
Conclusion : It is promoted as a comedy film but it is not so. Except a few comical scenes you will get irritated. Due to its comedy genre it may attract some audience otherwise it will fail at the box office.
Plus Point : Its comedy genre.
Minus Point : Poor Script
Verdict : Not worth spending money in theatres! However you can watch it once after its satellite release or DVD release.
