Kahlon family lives at Patiala House which is lined by Bauji. They go after his diktats as he tries to grasp onto his "Indian values" in the ground of the "goras". The younger generation at the Patiala House desires to declare themselves and go behind their imaginings but are held back by their admiration and love for Bauji and the burning example of Bauji's eldest son, Parghat Singh Kahlon aka Gattu. Gattu gave up his daydream at the altar of Bauji's prejudices. His prize: For the last seventeen years he has been working in a corner shop. Would Bauji relax his hold and let the youngsters discover their own dreams as a replacement for following his? Would Gattu obtain a 2nd opportunity to live his life? What's more significant: family or dreams? And why must we prefer one or the other?
