One line Review: A cheesy spoof created by the comic supremos adds below the belt humor, disappointing as a complete entertainer.
Positive Points: Well designed sets clubbed with awesome locations of the elite Delhi. Well enacted spooky scenes by veterans Tinu Anand, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor which at least worth watching as it did in promos.
Negative Points: Disastrous acting by the lead new-comer Akash Chopra who proves nervous while enacting emotions and too loud when it comes to adding excitement. The editing of the film overall disturbs the link along with poor screenplay.
Plot: The film is about two cousins Sahil (Akash Chopra) and Shravan (Arshad Warsi). It's set around the typical Big Fat Indian wedding of Sahil with childhood sweetheart Sneha (Tahira Kochchar). Here is where Shravan lands up to Sahil to provide him with some crucial tips to make his life worth living post marriage. This goes along with his important mantra, 'To live a happily married life... You have to cheat on your wife.'On the other hand, Sahil straight away disagrees to apply this law but Shravan convinces him to do so by setting examples of his uncles Popat (Paresh Rawal) and Suri (Shakti Kapoor). Looking at this cheating legends in front of him leading a so called happy married life will Sahil cheat? Or will he set an example all by himself as staying loyal?
Direction and Other Technical Aspects: After winning a National Award for his earlier film, director Amrit Sagar has came up with this rom-com. The direction has been average with not so astonishing brilliance. The film comes out with the same storyline of a love-guru and a student which we have earlier experienced in films like 'Partner' and 'No Entry'. The director has some how managed to spice up the movie with some hot scenes to keep the audiences glued to their seats, but this gets cheesy each time this scenes pop up on the screen giving not more than embarrassment to family audiences.
Editing however had made the situation even worse. The scenes have cut short or sometimes over-lapped in return irritating the viewers. Arshad Warsi repeats the same genre in which he holds a Master. However, the pressure upon this star can be noticed onscreen. Judging the comic timings of Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor will be too much, they have pulled off their roles pretty well.
Performances: Akash Chopra: This newcomer disappoints from the core. He misses the necessary timings and messes up with his dance moves.
Tahira Kochchar: This new girl does not have much to play but her screen presence is better than the lead actor.
Arshad Warsi: He repeats the same genre in which he holds a Master. However, the pressure upon this star can be noticed onscreen.
Judging the comic timings of Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor will be too much, they have pulled off their roles pretty well.
Veterans Raj Babbar, Tinu Anand, Rakesh Bedi, Sushmita Mukherjee and others do justice to their roles as well.
Music: The music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman, adding up six tracks to the movie. The list consists of six tracks but apart from 'Khulla Saandh' and 'Mooh Meetha Karade' you can hardly remember any other. Composers have tried to add a Punjabi flavor to the tracks but this time, they have missed the spice.
Final Verdict: The film proves poor as compared to earlier releases. If you have a lot of money to spend along with too much of time, you can surely visit the theaters. But, please as far as possible spare yourself from this insensible feature.
