Rajdhani Express Review

Rating: 1/5

One Line Review:A totally dull movie with no essence of entertainment quotient.

Positive points:None

Negative points:Dull direction; unprofessional cinematography; weak screenplay; inconclusive climax

Plot:A gun runner (Leander Paes), escaping a goon in Delhi (Kiran Kumar), boards the Rajdhani Express heading towards Mumbai. In his compartment are interesting co-travelers, a fashion designer (Sudhanshu Pandey), a Bengali writer (Priyanshu Chatterjee) and an item girl (Puja Bose). Soon the strangers get acquainted with each other, alongside with having the ticket checker T.T Sharma (Gulshan Grover) in between the scenes. However the reluctant protagonist does not choose to mingle up with them. In between the awkward conversations, the protagonist gets flashbacks of his lost love, the daughter of the goon (Sayali Bhagat).

Soon he hijacks the compartment and then begins a series of confusion and threat. Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai police, Yadav (Jimmy Shergill) is determined to kill the man to get promoted as the Commissioner. He sends his police aide (Mukesh Rishi) to tackle the situation. The events continue in the train as they solve the crisis.

Performances:The performances are extremely bland and distasteful. There is infact no essence of acting in the characters. Protagonist Leander Paes in his debut fails to employ the right kind of acting skills. One feels as if he is trying to force himself into doing it. Sudhanshu Pandey gives a satisfactory performance. The comic dialogues and antics by Priyanshu Chatterjee are the only light of good acting in the darkness of poor performances. Jimmy Shergill and Mukesh Rishi being experienced actors, perform their parts quite well.

Direction And Other Technical Aspects:The direction is extremely poor and is one of the points that make the movie completely lame. Cinematography seems like it has been done by an amateur. The music is nothing of a sort you can call a good music, be it the songs or the background. It doesn't hold the basic characteristics music is supposed to have. On an overall level, the technical aspects of the movie are totally messed up.

Final Verdict:If you really want to watch this totally lame movie, you can surely do so only if you want to waste your time and hard earned money.
