SAHEB BIBI AUR GANGESTER is a Hindi film that released on 30-09-2011. It has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia who was once an assistant of Ram Gopal Varma and who had directed Shagird & Hasil earlier independently.
Story : Jimmy Shergil plays the role of Saheb Aditya Pratap Singh who is just for name sake a Saheb now because internally he knows the bitter truth that he doesn't possess as much money as his ancestors did. However, he doesn't want to lose his position as a sahib in his area and hence he struggles hard to sustain his royal lifestyle by hook or by crook.
Mahi Gill (played as Biwi) is his 3rd wife who is very beautiful, yet Saheb doesn't pay much attention to her and spends his nights with his mistresses.
Thereafter, enters Randeep Hooda who plays the role of Babloo, (a gangster), as a driver when the story takes turn. He has come here with some other motive (in fact he has been planted by Saheb's enemies) but he falls in love with Biwi of Saheb.
Does Biwi, who did not get her husband's love, indulge into illegitimate relation with Babloo and if yes, what happens next is what makes the rest of the film?
Performance : Jimmy Shergil has done his part brilliantly. Randip Hooda is also good in his character. And its seems both the director and Randip Hooda have developed good rapport because they are continuously doing films together.
Mahi Gill looks hot and sexy and has played her part very well.
Script : Script of the film is tight and would keep grown up audience hooked. Screenplay is also good.
Music : Background score of the film is good.
Direction : Tigmanshu Dhulia has narrated this story in a well manner and deserves appreciation. His takings are good and has made his actors do what he wanted in a well manner. He hasn't exaggerated any sequence unnecessarily. It isn't a senseless film like his previous film SHAGIRD.
Plus Points : Script & direction and actor's performace
Conclusion : This film is inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth, Guru Dutt's classical film SAHIB BIWI AUR GHULAM, Vishal Bhardwaj's MAQBOOL etc. and has justified the film.
Verdict : If you are an adult, go for it.
