These days mostly all producers are running after commercial films and incorporating many vulgar as well as double meaning dialogues and scenes to earn revenues yet only a few films become blockbuster and rest of the films flop. In such a condition hardly any film maker dares to make any film for children because most of the films made for children fall flat. Despite all these facts the producer Vinit Khetrpal from Delhi dared to produce and direct a film for children and he did not care for box office result. The film is titled as SATRANGEE PARACHUTE.
Instead of shooting on sets the producer director took his unit to shoot the film on real location and stayed there for nearly a month and shot almost seventy percent of the film there. In most of the scenes he chose to cast real villagers instead of junior artists.
Story : Far from Nainital there is a small village situated where Pappu and his other friends live. Pappu's father (Jakir Hussain) is a hawker and sells ice cubes for the survival of his family. One of Pappu's friends is the son of a police Subedaar Singh (Sanjay Mishra). These kids meet somewhere in their village and dream to do something big to fulfill their dreams.
One day they see a Satarangee parachute on TV flying in the sky. They dream to acquire similar parachute. To turn their dream true they run away from their village and reach Mumbai where they hear some terrorist making some attack plan.
But they are misunderstood and even they misunderstand the plan.
However due to them a terror attack is foiled.
Performance : Since the film revolves around the 5 children there is hardly any scope for elder actors to do something. However, Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal yadav, K.K.Menon have justified their roles. Child actors also have done their part well. Rupa Gangulay has performed like Sabana Ajami. What can be said about the villagers who are real and not junior artists?
Script : The story of the film is okay but entertainment part lacks.
Direction : Director of the film is also okay and the director has made the child artists and villagers to do their best.
Minus Point: The film is very slow before interval but post interval it gains some momentum.
Plus Point: The film is made for children and they would get a clean film to watch.
Conclusion : Since there is hardly any film made for children you don't have choice whether this film entertains you or not.
Verdict : You can take your child to watch this film otherwise let them watch cartoon channels.
