Shaapit Review

Producer director Vikram Bhatt is famous for making horror films like RAAJ and 1920 and now he is back with another scarier movie SHAAPIT. This is also the debut film of Aditya Narain, who is the son of noted playback singer Udit Narayan. Aditya Narayan was earlier seen in some reality show on TV.

Other casts of this film are Shweta Agrwal, Rahul Dev and Shubh Joshi. The music of the film is given by the cousin of Vikram Bhatt, Chirantan Bhatt and songs written by Sameer. SHAAPIT is a bit scarier than Vikram's earlier films RAAJ and 1920.

The film SHAAPIT is the story of a girl Kaaya whose family is cursed that no daughters in their family will be able to marry ever. Aman (Aditya Narain) loves Kaaya, who is one of the girls' of the cursed family.

Someone worked in a Royal family of Kaaya many years ago. But the king's younger son tried to rape his daughter so the girl had committed suicide. Thereafter the father of the girl had cursed the royal family that no girl from their family would ever get married and if they tried to do so, they would get killed.

Kaaya is unaware of this curse. Both Aman and Kaaya love each other too much and want to marry. But when Aman presents an engagement ring on Kaaya's birthday, everything goes wrong and scary things start taking place.

Aman and Kaaya meet an accident, though they are hardly hurt. This is the time when Kaaya's mother tells them about the curse. But Aman loves her more than anything and at any cost wants to break the curse by marrying her. Will he succeed in his mission is the rest of the film. This film is scarier, though sometimes becomes tedious.

Aditya Narain has done his job very well. Others too are good. The girl has nothing more to do, yet she is okay. Music too suits the film.

Vikram Bhatt is again successful in making a horror film. You can watch this film if you love horror movies.
