TUTIYA DIL is a Hindi feature film which released on 13th January, 2012. This film has been directed by Amit Khanna and is of romance-comedy genre.
Story : This romantic-comical film revolves around Rhea Kapoor (Suzanna Mukherjee). In her office, Karan Oberoi (Nikhil Sabharwal) is her new boss and she falls in love with him. But soon she discovers some bitter facts about her boss and tries to go out of his life and forget him. But she can not forget him. When Karan tries to settle the matter and ask forgiveness for his misdeeds she tries to forgive him but he does not mend his ways and does almost the same mistake again. This shatters her heart.
So there is a breakup once again. Disheartened Rhea happens to stay in Vishal's (Sidhant Kapur) house. Since Vishal is her colleague, he understands her problem and gives her his sympathy. Although Vishal has a girlfriend, he cares for Rhea as a friend.
But soon twist is going to enter into their lives.
After the breakup, Rhea stops trusting men/boys and she thinks that men want sex only from their girlfriends. So you see her character changed which brings a different kind of twist in the movie.
What happens later is what makes the rest of the film.
Acting : Even though it's the debut film of Suzanna Mukherjee, she has tried to do well, though not succeeded fully in her role. Sidhant Kapur is average in his role and looks smart. Jyoti Bhardwaj is also above average. Nikhil Sabharwal is a little above average. Iris Maity is okay. Ankit Gupta gets himself registered as Nalinder Yadav.
Script : The story of the film is very simple and it could have been made better through tight screenplay but its screenplay becomes weak after sometime. Some of the characters are half baked.
Music : Music is given by Gulraj Singh which doesn't find any place in the heart of the audiences.
Direction : The direction of this movie is average. Since most of the casts are new, the director has done quite a good job by directing them and taking work from them.
Plus Points : Fresh Story, Fresh Faces, Low Budget
Minus Points : Weak Screenplay, Weak Music, Weak Performances by most of the actors
Conclusion : Youth may like this film to some extent. Also there is not tough competition, so it may get some audiences before the release of AGNEEPATH. Due to fresh start casts, its budget is very low hence it may reach break even point or earn some revenue.
Verdict : Very simple film yet no problem in watching once! However, you would miss nothing if you miss it!
