Wajah Tum Ho Review

Rating: 1.5/5

One line Review: The suspense thriller is a revenge tale with poorly cinematographed frames and sequences.

Positive Points: The run time of the film, it is short and crisp.

Negative Points: Over the top dialogues kill the intensity of the scenes. Despite being in the thriller genre, the movie is not gripping and the out of context appearance of songs seems illogical.

Plot: After the live broadcast of a corrupt ACP’s murder on a popular news channel of Global Times Network, Mumbai Police begins the investigation. The media house owner, rich brat Rahul (Rajneesh Duggal) is the prime suspect in the case. Officer Kabir (Sharman Joshi) is in charge of this high profile investigation. Rahul’s legal head Sia (Sana Khan) is his defence lawyer. Ranveer (Gurmeet Choudhary) is the lawyer on behalf of the state.

Review Wajah Tum Ho

Soon it is discovered that Rahul’s friend and business stake holder, Karan (Himanshu Malhotra), is related to the case in a big way. But, after his murder in a similar live TV broadcast, Kabir and his Police force are in a fix as Rahul is the killer’s next target. Later the mystery further unfolds and Kabir is served with another puzzle to solve. Who is the real culprit? What is Rahul’s connection to this case and will he be granted mercy or will he face a ruthless death, sums up in the climax.

Direction and other Technical Aspects: Not Rahul, not Karan, nor anybody else, the real culprit is the flawed script! The vagueness with which the direction, cinematography, scripting and other aspects of filming are handled is just disappointing. The major drawback are its dialogues that disrupt the smooth flow of the storyline from the word go! The dialogues are so unreal and puerile that they manage to make you laugh even in scenes that are supposed to be intense and serious. The dialogues even ruin the romantic scenes.

The performances are weak and the characters are half backed. The love making scenes between the leads look mechanical as there is no love or chemistry seen amidst them. The scenes are abruptly shot and a few sequences refrain logic.

Performance: Sharman Joshi’s performing skills are wasted in the film. Due to the underdeveloped character, the tough cop role does not fit well and does not impress.

Sana Khan performs averagely in the movie. Her glamourous avatar does not support the character that she essays.

Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajneesh Duggal do not add any value to the movie. They in turn bring down the scale with their weak performances. Supporting actors perform averagely.

Music: The old classic songs are poorly remixed that feature unnecessary and pointless visuals. The background score is loud and the songs erupt at random occasions. Also, it seems as if the songs are a separate entity and are not part of the film due to their ambiguous execution and placement.

Final Verdict: There is hardly any substance in the plot and content wise the movie does no good to the viewers.
