Dasara earned Rs 12 crore (early estimates) on its second day of release, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. It had a 36% overall occupancy in Telugu-speaking regions. The total revenue now stands at Rs 53 crores worldwide.
The film appears to be on track to break box office records not only in India but also abroad throughout its opening weekend. Dasara's producers have reported that the picture has exceeded the one million milestones in the United States.

With Dasara, Nani has shed his lover-boy persona and is playing Dharani, an alcoholic coal mine worker filled with fury. Things take a turn for the worse when he comes into contact with some nasty characters. The Telugu film has also been dubbed into Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. In addition to Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Samuthirakani, Dheekshith Shetty, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sai Kumar play important roles.
