Well, it is said that the classics are better left untouched, but some of the classics can enhance their beauty with their ultra-modern look! In the meanwhile, there were several news updates spreaded regarding the 3D remake of Ramesh Sippy 's 1975 magnum opus, ' Sholay '. The classic chronicle featured Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in phenomenal roles as Jai and Veeru, respectively and it was also best remembered for Hema Malini 's chirpy Basanti and Amjad Khan 's unforgettable antagonist Gabbar Singh. Once again, the magic will be revived in the form of remake.
Earlier, ' Sholay ' 3D remake was supposed to release on October 11, which marks the superstar Amitabh Bachchan 's 71st birthday. Nevertheless, as the makers desired to get "four-week window" for the movie, they planned to release it in January 2014. The presenter of the flick, Jayantilal Gada mentioned that they intended to get four-week window and hence, urged the cinemas about it. Now, the talks are on between the makers and cinemas pertaining to a release date in the month of January, said Gada. The presenter revealed the reason behind not opting for one-week window, by saying that it is an old film and not the one, which can achieve massive opening like the other big releases.
The 3D remake of ' Sholay ' holds a special significance for the team, who left no stone unturned to make it best in 3D format.
