Aatma is a supernatural thriller which has intense emotions. The film explores the emotional attachment between a child , a mother and a father. The lead roles in the film are played by Bipasha Basu and Nawazuddin Siddiqui . The child artist is Doyel Dhawan . Speaking to the source, Nawazuddin said that his character Abhay in the film is like a common father who loves his daughter a lot. The story is all about the emotional bonds. It moves very naturally. After accepting the offer Supern told him that Bipasha Basu is playing the opposite lead. He stood in awe after listening to this fact. According to Siddiqui, Bipasha is a very talented actress and she made him comfortable very soon. She is very nice and hardworking person, Siddiqui also said that Bipasha did the scary scenes very perfectly without going overboard.

While Bipasha said that it is very difficult to play a mother on screen. It was a challenge for her to get connected perfectly with a six year old kid. Kids get connected to you only after they want to. They do not put an expression unless and until they feel like. Hence it is very challenging. She also said that there is an emotional graph in this film which is different from any other scary movies. The emotional story will touch audiences' hearts deeply. The child artist Doyel Dhawan said that she is very happy and excited to be a part of this film. Bipasha is her favorite heroine and she wants to do more films with Bipasha.

The movie is produced by Abhishek Pathak , Wide Frame Pictures and directed by Suparn Verma . It will be released on 22nd March.
