‘Abhimaan’ is a very extraordinary film; it shouldn’t be remade, says Abhishek Bachchan!
Quashing all rumors about him and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starring in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s classic film ‘Abhimaan’, Abhishek says not all films can be remade.

Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have starred together in a number of successful films, but Abhimaan , which hit screens in 1973 and turned out to be one of the most loved films of the years, is still considered to be the best film featuring the real-life couple on the reel. Of late, the industry circuit was abuzz with the rumors of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming together for the remake of the classic hit. But now Abhishek has made it clear that he does not want to remake the film. Junior Bachchan, who recently had a live interaction with his fans, stated, "Abhimaan is a very extraordinary movie. From all the movies that my mom and dad have done, this one is my favorite but to make a remake out of it will be very difficult."
Abhishek is of the opinion that not all films should be remade. Some films should be left untouched. "In between, there was some talk that a remake of the movie should be made with Aishwarya and I. But we both thought that it was such a good movie, so we shouldn't make a remake. Certain films...you should just leave them alone, you can't remake them. There is a magic about them that should be left. So as of now, nothing of that sort,” the actor concluded.
Well, we cannot agree more with Abhishek that certain classics should not be remade. But we do want to see real-life couple Abhishek Bachchan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once again on the screen.
