We all know Arijit Singh as the best romantic singer of the current era but time and again he has shown his singing ability and has sung a variety of different songs. But now, he has done something new that he has never done in the past. The 30-years-old singer finally got the chance to croon a patriotic song and he nailed it even this time. We are talking about the song ‘Ae Watan’ from Alia Bhatt ’s Raazi and Arijit’s voice will surely give chills. The song is picturised on Alia as she marries a Pakistani army official and stays there as an Indian spy. The lyrics of the epic song have been written by legendary Gulzar and the music has been composed by the dynamic trio of Shankar , Ehsaan and Loy .

For the uninitiated, Raazi is a period thriller by Meghna Gulzar and it is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel, Calling Sehmat. The film revolves around the time of India-Pakistan war of 1971 and it narrates the story of an Indian spy who voluntarily marries a Pakistani officer and stays there.
The film also stars Vicky Kaushal , Rajit Kapoor , Shishir Sharma , Soni Razdan and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. Jointly produced by Karan Johar ’s Dharma Productions and Junglee Pictures, Raazi will hit the theatres on 11th May 2018.
