After Ranveer and Anushka, Tamannaah to be conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award!
Tamannaah will be conferred with the prestigious award for her role in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise.

SS Rajamouli ’s Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion , were both benchmarking films in the Indian film industry. Though actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati stole the limelight, the resting of the cast also gave an equally brilliant performance. Apart from the two male leads, one of the finest actors from the film was Tamannaah Bhatia who nailed the role of a warrior. And to felicitate her superb performance, the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation will honour her with the prestigious award. After bagging the iconic Sridevi Award at Zee Apsara Awards, the 28-years-old actress will now receive the coveted Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for her outstanding performance in the blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning on April 21 in Mumbai.
Talking about receiving this honour, Tamannaah said in a statement, “I’ve grown up knowing what immense involvement Dadasaheb Phalke had enjoyed in Indian cinema. It’s such an honour to be conferred an award from the foundation.” Not only Tamannaah, but Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh will also be honoured.
Meanwhile, Ranveer will get the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s Padmaavat and Anushka will be awarded on the basis of her successful movies as a producer.
