After Simmba, Ranveer to maintain a distance from South Indian remakes?
The actor reportedly wants to play characters that have never been attempted before on celluloid.

Actor Ranveer Singh , who is riding high on the stupendous success of his last release, Padmaavat , is currently shooting for his next flick, Gully Boy , which also stars Alia Bhatt and is being helmed by Zoya Akhtar with whom he worked on Dil Dhadkne Do . Post Gully Boy , the actor will move on to shoot Rohit Shetty 's Simmba which is slated for its theatrical release at the end of the year. As we all know that Simmba is a remake of a South Indian film Temper, but what may surprise many film enthusiasts is the report that states that Ranveer might not do any other South Indian remake after Simmba .
According to a report published in a National daily, the actor has been offered a spate of Hindi remakes inspired by South Indian films in the past few months but he has declined them all, as he wants to act in different genres post Padmaavat.
Besides Gully Boy and Simmba , Ranveer will also be seen in 83 by Kabir Khan .
