Superstar Ajay Devgn , who made his acting debut with the film Phool Aur Kaanten in 1991, has been working in films for more than 25 years now. In this long period, many stars have come and gone, but no one could ever reach close to the stardom Devgn has built for himself over the years. At the trailer launch of his latest film Raid , when the actor was asked if it's difficult to stay relevant in the film industry for so long, he said, Of course, it is difficult. You cannot take everything so easily. You will have to work hard. Just because you have achieved something does not mean it stays with you. It's not going to last forever. So, you have to keep struggling and, you know, be what you are and try to go ahead till the time you can because there will be a time where you start going back."
Ajay Devgn 's new film Raid is based on real-life incidents of 1981's longest I-Tax raid in Lucknow. The actor plays an Income Tax Officer in the movie. On being asked what message he would like to give to the public about filing taxes, he said, "I don't know whether I should give any message or not because different people can take it in various ways. But this film tries to convey a message that you should be fare in your tax filing. If you are earning well, you have to file your tax. Having said that, I also feel that at times both the parties - the common man and the Income Tax Department - are at fault. So, I believe this should a process that is fair from both the ends."
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta , Raid also stars Ileana D'Cruze and Saurabh Shukla . It arrives in cinemas on March 16.
