Akshay doesn’t want to get typecast for doing similar kind of roles again and again!
It is not that I will do only war film. I need to keep on changing. I don’t want anyone to put an image on me, says Akshay.

After doing a variety of roles, Akshay Kumar will now be seen in two period-drama films. One being Reema Kagti ’s Gold and the other one is Karan Johar produced, Kesari . While he has finished shooting Gold , he is busy with the latter which is Akshay’s first war film. Khiladi Kumar is the King of action and comedy but he doesn’t want to get typecast for doing any genre of films repeatedly. As reported by a leading news agency, the superstar said that this is the first time he is doing a war film and it's not something he will only do further.
Akshay said, "I need to keep on changing. I don’t want anyone to put an image on me. I have gone through that in early days of my career when only action image was associated with me. I wanted to do other things, but I couldn’t do it. So I always try to do different things (now)."
Further talking about Kesari , the actor said, "It is not that I will do only this kind of film. I am doing a war film called Kesari, it is for the first time that I am doing a war film, and it is new for me. So I am very excited about it."
Akshay had revealed earlier that he wants to go back to doing comedy and is looking forward to doing Housefull 4 . When he was asked when he will return to comedy, he said, "I have no idea. I want to do a Housefull now. I am waiting to start Housefull; it is going to be a three-month vacation."
While Kesari will hit the screens next year, his Gold is scheduled to come out on 15th August 2018.
