Bollywood action maestro Akshay Kumar will be next seen in a double role in the official remake of the Tamil film Kaththi. Akshay will reunite with his Holiday director A. R. Murugadoss for the upcoming film. This official remake will go on floors in August 2016.
The original film Kaththi featured south actor Vijay in a double role - as a petty thief and a postgraduate with staunch communist ideologies. Currently, the film maker is re-scripting the project to suit the North Indian audience. It is confirmed that the Khiladi Kumar will be seen in a double role.
The project is titled Ikka, as per the sources. The film will be shot in Chennai, having a start-to-finish two month schedule. The story travels across Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangkok.
