Akshay Kumar who recently Bollywood yet another hit with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha , has a number of films in his kitty. The actor is presently shooting for Reema Kagti’s Gold which is a sports drama revolving around our national game hockey. The actor will also be seen in his wife’s Twinkle Khanna’s first production venture PadMan . Apart from that Akshay will be soon starting the promotions of his biggie with Rajinikanth 2.0. The latest update claims that Akshay has been roped in for a new film which will be a remake of the Tamil film Veeram.
The upcoming film is said to be directed by Sajid-Farhad. It has been tentatively titled Land of Lungi (LOL). The original film starred south superstar Ajith and made a good business at the box-office. It is touted to be a comedy drama where Akshay will sport lungi most of the time. Set at the backdrop of a village, i.e. a rural setup, the movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Sources from a leading daily revealed, "Akshay is very comfortable with Farhad’s brand of humour. As for Akshay and Sajid, this will be their ninth film together. They make a great team and are good friends, too. The original film had done good business, and looking at the combination that has come together for the remake, this seems like a safe bet."
