Alia Bhatt to start shooting for ‘Gully Boy’ from early January!
Alia, who will be seen for the first time opposite Ranveer Singh in ‘Gully Boy’, will start the shoots of the film from January next year.

After successfully appearing in some quirky commercials, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh became one of the most beloved jodi’s for the fans. Ever since their MakeMyTrip commercial came out, the fans wanted to see the duo in a film together. Zoya Akhtar made the wish of fans come true by signing Alia opposite Ranveer in ‘Gully Boy’. ‘ Gully Boy ’ is a story of two underground Indian rappers, Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, who rose to fame after making rap songs from the slums of Mumbai. Though the film and the star cast was announced months back, the shooting has not started yet. Talking about the film, Alia confirmed that she will start the shoots in early January as the film is supposed to hit the screens in the later part of 2018.
Earlier, Alia spoke with a leading tabloid about working with Zoya in ‘ Gully Boy ’. The actress said, "It's a new space for me and I'd wanted to work with Zoya Akhtar ever since I saw ‘ Luck By Chance ’."
Expressing her new co-star Ranveer, Alia said, "Ranveer is crazy and unabashed and I love that about him. Both of us are passionate about our films and have a huge mutual admiration society. We've done some mad commercials together so it's great to be doing a film now."
Talking about the actors, Ranveer, who took a break after ‘ Padmavati ’, will be next seen in Rohit Shetty ’s ‘Temper’ remake, on the other hand, Alia will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar ’s ‘ Raazi’ , which will hit the screens on 11th May 2018.
