Amidst controversies, Kedarnath begins its second schedule
Kedarnath is based on Uttarakhand floods that claimed many lives in 2013.

Rumours have been floating around for quite some time now that the upcoming film Kedarnath , which went on floors a couple of months back, has been shelved because of an unending tussle between director Abhishek Kapoor and producers Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor . However, Kapoor shared a video of him performing a puja on Instagram which paints a different picture altogether. The director captioned the video as, “The journey continues... schedule 2 underway #kedarnath #jaibholenath @sushantsinghrajput #saraalikhan.”

Producer Arjun N. Kapoor has also denied rumours about the film being put on the backburner. “Firstly, the film is not shelved. It ‘is’ and not ‘was’. It is very much on. I know, as a producer, that many fortunes are involved with every film. “Sara’s career is surely important for KriArj. Not only hers but everyone involved in the film. Having said that, there was a valid reason for us to move the court and we are confident that things will be sorted out soon. It is just a matter of time (before) we finish the film and share it with the world.”
Kedarnath marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh 's daughter Sara Ali Khan . The film also stars Sushant Singh Rajput .
