Directed by the duo, Khushboo Ranka , and Vinay Shukla , ‘An Insignificant Man’ was produced by Anand Gandhi and released in November 2017. The documentary shows the rise of Delhi's CM, Arvind Kejriwal, and his political party, ‘Aam Aadmi Party’. The film was initially released in just 25 screens, but after receiving an overwhelming response from the masses, the film then released in a total of 60 screens. After its theatrical run, the documentary was then released on Vice’s YouTube channel on December 20th, 2017 and received an immensely great response. On the digital platform, Khushboo and Vinay’s film has crossed more than 1 million views, which is also a unique achievement. Besides an impressive reception in metropolitan cities, ‘An Insignificant Man’ also garnered love from smaller cities such as Dehradun and Latur, becoming the most successful documentary in the history of Indian cinema.

The film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and has traveled to various prestigious film festivals like the BFI London Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. The film was picked up by global media giant Vice for International distribution.

‘An Insignificant Man’ provides an unflinching, fly-on-the-wall panorama of the rise of anti-corruption movements in India, leading to the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party and its landslide electoral victory in 2013.

It won the Best Documentary prize at Warsaw Film Festival 2016, NYIFF (New York Indian Film Festival) 2017, IFFLA (Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles) 2017and Brooklyn Film Festival 2017.
