The 2001 political thriller ' Nayak ' was a phenomena in the Indian cinema and so was Anil Kapoor 's heart trenching performance. If you have became an "Anil fan" soon after that, then just hold your breath because your favorite hero is all geared up to revive the same feel yet another time just for you!
Yes! ' Nayak ' is coming back. A leading production house, Pen India Pvt. Ltd is planning a film based on the line of Anil's character, Shivaji Rao from the previous political drama. And so the producers had already roped in Anil Kapoor to play the lead for the venture, as per the sources.
The grapevine said that, though the new venture would be based on the 2001 release, it is not a sequel neither a prequel to the flick. The protagonist would be similar as the previous Shivaji Rao, but for a change this time, Anil would be seen dealing on the issues related to the betterment of the society.
However, before we would assume it as a rumor, a representative from Pen India Pvt. Ltd has confirmed the news and has also disclosed that, as the film is not a sequel to the previous edition, they are not liable to buy any rights and are pretty liberal to commence with the venture, best known by the sources.
Now that Anil has personally approved to act in the flick, we hope he's not taking any chance to play odd to his golden character. Well, on that note, we could only wish good luck to Anil and could hope that this next venture of his, breaks all past records created by the classic.
