Anurag Kahsyap Defends Payal's Accusation On Dibakar Banerjee

The film director Anurag Kashyap is standing by defending Dibakar Banerjee ( Khosla Ka Ghosla & LOVE SEX OR DHOKHA fame). News is there that Payal Rohatgi (who was once a participant in the reality show-BIGG BOSS) has put allegations on the director Dibakar Banerjee , for casting couch. But Anurag Kashyap doesn't want to believe it.

When Anurag Kashyap is asked about it he says, "I don't see any controversy here. If the woman (Payal) is saying that she's sleeping with a director, then why would she have a problem in showing him her stomach? I think there is a contradiction in there. I completely stand by Dibakar. Such things are happening in our industry. A lot of people get messages from actors and actresses, all the time. I know Dibakar pretty well. Many filmmakers including me knew about the messages he was getting."

Well, does casting couch really exists in film industry or not when Anuraag is asked to comment on it he said, "Casting couch or any kind of couch exists everywhere. It depends from person to person. Filmmakers today have integrity. I don't think Dibakar or Imtiaz or anyone would give a role to someone just because he/she is sleeping with him. No filmmaker will compromise his film's integrity. We all audition and we all have casting directors. I am a filmmaker and I get 50 such messages everyday. Most of the directors don't meet actors these days at the first place, precisely for this reason,".

The director adds further, "If anything of that sort happened, the traumatized person reacts immediately. Not after two or four months."

When he was asked whether it could be a publicity stunt or anything like that, Anurag comments, "I don't know if it's a publicity stunt. Payal Rohatgi is a slightly disturbed person. She probably needs help. We shouldn't give importance to such issues."
