Arbaaz Khan has come a long way since he made his acting debut in 1996 with Abbas - Mustan film’s Daraar . He started his journey as an actor and then branched out to production and direction also. Last seen in Yea Toh Two Much Ho Gayaa , Khan is now coming up with his new film Tera Intezaar on 1st December. When Arbaaz was asked recently that how he sees his journey in Bollywood over the years, he excitedly said, “I made my debut in 1996 and this is 2017. I am happy and fortunate that 20 years later I still get work, which is a good enough reason to thank God and be happy. I don’t think about whether I am in top three of top five (actors). I am getting work and I am pretty much happy with what I am doing. An actor should not think whether his role is big or small; he should focus on whether his role is good or bad.”

Talking about what drew him to Tera Intezaar , Arbaaz said, “I knew the director of the film since long. He has been around for a long time now. He has assisted Mukul (Anand) sir and some other prominent directors. He is somebody who knew the craft and was ready to make a movie. So, that is at times very encouraging.”

The actor-filmmaker further added, “I always say that there are various reasons to do a film. Sometimes, you do a film for a particular role. Sometimes, your role might be okay but you still do the film as it looks very exciting. Sometimes, you have not worked with an actor that inspires you. Suppose if today a film is offered to me with (Amitabh) Bachchan Saab, I would just take it. You do a film because you want to work with a particular director you have not worked with. So, for me, apart from the fact that Raajeev was making his first film and he was capable of doing so, working with Sunny (Leone) was very exciting. And also the fact that after so many years I was getting offered a film which met the parameters that it did. I am doing a romantic role here, rather than the roles which I generally get offered, like character roles, negative roles or serious roles. So, I was like this is not bad. This is something which I would love to do. I never got an opportunity to do it earlier; I am getting it now. So, it was great. That was one very important reason for me to do this film.’

Tera Intezaar , featuring Arbaaz Khan opposite Sunny Leone , arrives in cinemas on 1st December.
